Retraining of Racehorses National Championships - entries

23 August 2022

The Jockey Club RoR National Championships 2022 starts today at the Aintree Equestrian Centre, continuing until Saturday, 27 of August. The event features classes for showing, dressage and jumping, culminating with the crowning of The Jockey Club Supreme Champion on Saturday’s evening performance.

The event, the largest European contest for retrained racehorses, includes many famous names over the course of the week, including Coneygree, who became the first novice to win the Gold Cup for more than 40 years in 2015.

Five-time Grade 1 winner Thistlecrack, owned by John and Heather Snook is also among the 280 entries, as is Paul Jacob's Limato, who landed the July Cup and Prix de la Foret double in 2016, whilst last year's overall Champion Minella Rebellion will return to defend his showing title under Katie Dashwood.
