Harry Derham yard visit

We are delighted to invite members to an exclusive visit to the Boxford yard of Harry Derham, taking place on Friday 19 April. The morning will include watching horses on his purpose-built gallops and also a tour of the stables and the opportunity to pose questions to Harry.

There is also racing at Newbury in the afternoon, should members wish to tie the visit in. The meeting is a concession day for Racegoers Club members and is on the Racecourse Badge Scheme for Owners for ROA members.

Harry learned his trade under Paul Nicholls and started training on his own in December 2022. Since then he has built up a strong base of owners, which includes golfers Graeme McDowell and Brooks Koepka and England International cricketer Craig Overton. He moved into his purpose-built base in Boxford in August and has been going from strength to strength in his first full season with a license, ablly assisted by Grand National-winning trainer Oliver Sherwood.

Timings:

• 9 - 9.10am - Arrival
• 9.10 - 9.30am - Tea, coffee and refreshments. Welcome from Harry.
• 9.30am - 10.30am - Walk to the warm up area and gallop to watch the horses work with Harry.
• 10.30am - 11.15am - Tour of the yard and opportunity to ask Harry questions
• 11.15/11.30am - Depart

The visit is limited to 50 guests, and we therefore request the members book no more than two places for themselves and a guest.
