David O'Meara yard visit - sold out

We are pleased to offer the opportunity for ROA and Racegoers Club members to visit David O’Meara’s yard. Based in the outskirts of York near Upper Helmsley, Willow Farm is a purpose-built yard with an Equaflow gallop and 5 furlong deep sand round gallop.

From this base, he has trained over 100 winners each year since his maiden century in 2013. David has become well known for sending out large numbers of winners and also several top-level performers, including Group 1 winners Suedois, G Force (left), Move In Time, Amazing Maria, Mondialiste and most recently Lord Glitters who added to his 2019 Queen Anne win with success in the 2021 Jebel Hatta at the age of eight.

Visitors will watch the horses work on the gallops and then be given a tour of the yard. The visit starts at 9am and will finish around 11.30am. Tea and coffee will be provided.

For those interested, there is also racing at Doncaster that afternoon, which is a participating fixture on the Racecourse Badge Scheme for Owners (for ROA Members), whilst it is a concession day for Racegoers Club members.

There is a limit of 25 places available, and we are operating a first-come, first-served policy.
