A year's subscription is £280 for an individual membership, or for two people residing at the same address, a joint membership is available for £470.

Complimentary racecourse entry with the Racecourse Badge Scheme for Owners

Just five visits per year would save an average of £100 per membership. Members can pre-book their visit via the PASS scheme. Over 90% of the fixture list is included, and at some fixtures you can also bring a guest.

20%  discounts on BHA Registrations

Worth up to £75 per member. All owners need to register with the BHA. Members of the ROA are entitled to a 20% discount on most BHA registration fees including registration of ownership, colours and authority to act. Other discounts include on racing Post Members and Racing TV.

Insurance Schemes

Owners are currently vulnerable to claims even when their horse is in somebody else’s possession. ROA membership provides Third Party Liability Insurance as well as the Raceday Curtailment Scheme, Amateur Breeders Scheme and access to the ROCs compensation scheme.

Access to our owner-sponsorship in order to reclaim VAT

Owners who secure sponsorship for their racing activities can register for VAT and reclaim VAT on the purchase of their racehorse and racing related expenses including training fees. An average of £4,000 can be reclaimed per horse per year. We can also help with your VAT reclaim!

20% discount on ROA VAT Solution

The ROA VAT Solution is driven by a dedicated team with over 20 years experience in The Racehorse Owners VAT scheme. The service is powered through the market-leading XERO accounting software which is fully compliant with HMRC’s Making Tax Digital requirements. Members qualify for a 20% discount on this service.
